Have you ever wondered what would happen if the world started to fall apart? London is destroyed by a weapon of mass destruction, New York has sank, and something deadly has awoken beneath the sea. Well look no further than Anima Chambers’ debut title, Welcome to Orochi Park. A brand new playable demo and a trailer were released today, and I must say it looks bloody brilliant. The game parodies other games, global politics and pop culture, and started as a fan project for The Secret World.
In the new demo, released today via Steam, Donald Trump and Kim Jong-Un find themselves teaming up to fight a greater evil. Funcom writer and game director Joel Bylos makes a cameo. The demo is an early one – the game is far from finished – but creator Anima Chambers hopes this will give people a taste of what’s to come, as well as the opportunity for valuable feedback.
“Welcome To Orochi Park has been a labour of love for years now, and I’m delighted to finally reveal what I’ve been working on,” said Chambers. “The full game won’t be released for some time yet, but the demo should give people a sense of what the game is all about.” Chambers added: “The Secret World community have been really supportive so far, which is great for something that began its life as a fan project. I’m very grateful for my core fanbase of The Secret World players.” Welcome To Orochi Park will be released later in 2018. The demo can be downloaded via the game’s Steam page.
